MEMORIES OF OUR YOUTH
Leland Prentice, if we had only known what we were getting into when we bought our house on Westvale. The day we first saw 26757, we noticed that the people across the street were painting their house. It didn’t slow us down and we bought our house some 30 years ago. The next memory I have is watching you all train your standard sized poodle in the morning in the street in your night clothes. Hmmmm……close neighborhood. You don’t even have to get dressed to be in the street…… That’s all in fun, but our dearest memory of our neighbors across the street was that whatever I cooked, trying my best to be a creative bride, which was not fully appreciated ——EXCEPT by the special people across the street. It didn’t matter what I cooked, it was gratefully received. Then there was the Christmas nightgown that I truly loved……..the night of seeing Mary Poppins out in the rain was a plus++++++++. Your creativity & timing, Lee, in bringing down the patio umbrella was premium. Oh, yes…..then there was the choo-choo. How we have enjoyed Sue & Lee Prentice over the years!!! No matter what time we called on a Saturday a.m., you were up for going to breakfast. We had wonderful vacations together and I can’t tell you how much I have appreciated your willingness to be involved in our lives. We’re far apart now, but the friendship never goes bad. You two have probably mentored us the most in being friends, neighbors, parents, fellow believers. We love you guys from the bottom of our hearts and can’t thank God enough for bringing us to the open house back in 1977(?) HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLD MAN! We’re right behind you! I just celebrated my 61th BD and Jim is coming up to his 69th. Where has the time gone? We’re looking forward so much to seeing you in a couple of weeks.

happy 75th
Lee, We haven’t had much time to get to know you yet, but we have stories. We chose to keep those to ourselves and share some of the things we have learned about you during our two years in Life Group together. We have seen your servant heart in how you care for Susan, we have heard snippets of your fantastic journey through life, we have seen a vulnerable side of you when you have shared stories of your past, we have been the target of your humor at times and loved it. Maybe our favorite discovery about you is the curious mind you bring to group. You aren’t hesitant to confront and question in order to gain knowledge and understanding for your walk with Christ. Thank you for all you contribute to our group and specifically to our lives. Happy Birthday and may this next year be full of God’s blessings.
